Excitement on the Orient-Express

I'm excited. Scratch that, I'm really excited. In fact, I'm so excited that I don't know what to do with myself. I'm in danger of adopting that mildly irritating habit of informing people how many sleeps there are to go. You see, it's my 10th wedding anniversary. Although that, in itself, is exciting it is not what I am having sleepless nights about. Of course I'm excited to celebrate that day a decade ago when my husband and I gazed into each other's eyes, witnessed by all our beloved family and friends etc., etc., the real cause for my excitement is the celebration holiday. We're going on the Orient-Express. To Venice. And then on to Verona. To watch Aida. I know, I know, how exciting!

The Welcome letter includes what has now become my most favourite sentence of all time: 'Remember, you can never be overdressed on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express." Music to my ears. However, I am now in a fluster over packing. I'm going to need a variety of outfits but am limited on luggage allowance. This is the most challenging capsule wardrobe I have ever had to assemble....

In that case (pardon the pun) I had better get to it. The spare room bed is ready to be draped with all manner of dresses, shoes, necklaces, etc. Only 7 more sleeps......
